Tupelo

We are staying at Tupelo. Yesterday we viewed more of the Trace around here. Then we drove up to Brices Cross Roads National Battlefield. It started raining hard so we came home.

The Trace

Monday we left Nashville and started down the Natchez Trace. Drove to Tupulo Ms. Again much history of the trace and a lot to see every few miles.

The Hermitage

Sunday after church we went out to "The Hermitage', the home of Andrew Jackson the 7th President of the United State. The estate is 1000 acres and a must see. So much history there.

Music City

Sat we went down town to Music Row and saw all the sites including the new football stadium.
That night we went to the Grand Ole Opry. There were a bunch of major star performing that evening.
Lorrie Morgan, Lonestar, Vince Gill, Hal Ketchem, Pam Tillis, Mark Chesnutt, Randy Owen(from the group Alabama) and Caroly Dawn Johnson (a top Canadian star)

Zoo

Friday we went to the Nashville zoo. It is small, but it is the best we have seen for the large size the animals have to roam. The compounds are huge and the animals must love the open space and freedom they have to move around. The only cages are for the birds.
